In this chapter we will learn how a mouse helps us while working on the computer.
When we say mouse, we recall a quick moving small animal on the floor.
In the Same way, the computer mouse has a pointer which moves on the screen.
Using a mouse, we can select anything on the screen.
Computer mouse has a wire which is like a mouse tail.
It is connected to the CPU with help of wire.
Mouse
The computer mouse help us move the pointer on the screen. We can move the mouse on the mouse pad and select a particular thing.
That is way the mouse is called the pointing device.
It is an input device as well.
It is fun to move mouse pointer on the screen.
The mouse has main three parts :
1. Left click
2. Right click
3. Wheel
Left click
Left click is a click used for selection.
We can used left click for single click, double
click and selecting a particular part of the screen or text.
Single click : to select the chose option.
Double click : to open the document/ file.
Right click
Right click shows the option box for the particular selection.
Right click on the next area will open a box with options like cut, copy and paste. Right click on any file to see the available options for that file
Wheel
The small wheel in the middle of the mouse is used to scroll the wheel page up or down.
Uses of the mouse
( a ) It is used for moving and selecting options on the screen.
( b) It helps us in painting and drawing.
( c) It also helps us to play games.
